Privacy Policy for the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge

Thank you for your interest in the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge. As the protection of your personal data is our top priority, we would like to inform you about the processing of your personal data in the context of your participation in the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge below. By participating in the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge you agree to the processing of your data.

2. Your Data Subject Rights

As a data subject, you have the following rights under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), provided that the respective legal requirements are met:

Information

You have the right to obtain information about the data processed about you.

Correction

You can request the correction of incorrect personal data. In addition, you can request the completion of incomplete data.

Deletion

In certain cases, you can request the deletion of your personal data.

Restriction of Processing

In certain cases, you can request that the processing of your data is restricted.

Data Portability

If you have provided data on the basis of a contract or consent, you can demand that you receive the data you have provided in a structured, common and machine-readable format or that it be transferred to another person responsible.

Right of Objection: Individual Right of Objection

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data based on Article 6(1)(e) GDPR or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. This personal data will then no longer be processed for these purposes unless compelling legitimate grounds for the processing can be demonstrated which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Withdrawal of Consent

You can revoke your consent to the processing of your data at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of the processing of your data until the revocation remains unaffected. You can exercise your right of revocation at the address mentioned in section 1 or via the Bike Citizens’ Helpdesk by e-mail at info@bikecitizens.net and by telephone on 0043 316 228 724. In the app, you can use the feedback function to exercise your right of withdrawal.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us at the address set out in section 1 above. Please make sure that we are able to clearly identify you.
Right to complain to the supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you is unlawful.

3. Processing of Personal Data in the Context of the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge

In the course of the campaign, only your personal data that is necessary for the execution of the campaign will be processed. These are in detail:
– Nickname
– Email address
– Score of the respective required period
– Address of your workplace
– Name of employer
– Team name
– Registration date
Your nickname, your score, the address of your workplace the name of your employer and your team name will be publicly visible online in the ranking.

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling in accordance with Art. 22 GDPR.

a) Obligation to Provide Data

The provision of data is not required by law. However, the provision of personal data is required for participation in the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge.

b) Recipients of Personal Data

Your personal data will only be accessed by Bike Citizens staff and the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge team.

c) Transfer of Personal Data to Third Countries

A transfer of your personal data to third countries does not take place in the context of the implementation of the Bicycle Network Commuter Challenge.

d) Storage Period

Your data will be stored until you request the deletion of your Bike Citizens App account.
